The Great Lie

Filed under: Uncategorized — Rosemary @ 7:32 pm

It has come to that point in time whereby one must decide. Do you want to live in fear of offending someone, or do you simply want to live? Sometimes, you may have to fight for that right.

Liberty was never gained by the weak nor the mild. Freedom was never won by the pacifist nor the lazy. Life was never more precious as when one gave up his for another.

Conspiracies are born from ignorance. They are also born of denial. Then there are those times when there simply is no conspiracy theory but a lie! Yes. People who want to kill you will lie to you. Are you surprised? What makes you think that that a murderer has the moral compass not to lie?

This just in: The Lebanese men suspected of having deposited bombs on German trains last month were hired hands — in the employ of the German government itself.

That, at least, is what one 27-year-old from Saudi Arabia believes. “It’s all a Protestant crusade,” the man explains. “All of northern Germany is Protestant, isn’t it? And so is President Bush.” Then the man launches into a melange of confusing arguments and historical facts. The bubonic plague, Martin Luther and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl all make a cameo. It’s all connected somehow, the man is sure of it. [continue reading]

Was not Hitler a liar? Was he not a dictator? If you disagreed with him, was this hazardous to health? Then what do say to people who worship him? Yes, the Islamofascists. After all, was not Hitler a fascist?

8 Military Personnel to Have Article 32 Hearing

Filed under: Uncategorized — Rosemary @ 7:13 pm

KFMB San Diego, channel 8 is reporting that the Marine Corps has denied four Marines accused of killing an Iraqi civilian in Hamdania, Iraq, the option of going straight to trial even though they apparently waved their article 32 hearing to go to trial. Defense lawyers claimed that perhaps this was a sign that prosecutors don’t have a solid case. The generals and administrative weenies will keep the pressure on until those eight lads break, regardless of the truth.

According to Camp Pendleton spokesman Lt. Col. Sean Gibson the move was made “to make a fair and impartial decision on the disposition of these cases.”

Lt. Col., save it for the MSM, libs and anti-war groupies.

The seven Marines and one Navy corpsman allegedly went into Hamdania, and among other things took a man from his home, tied him up and shot him without provocation April 26. The men —- all accused of premeditated murder, kidnapping and related offenses —- were first detained in late April in Iraq. All were jailed in the Camp Pendleton brig on the same day in May, and all were charged on the same day in June. Soon, 12 men —- 11 Marines and one sailor —- were pulled from their units, kept on house arrest in Iraq, then returned to Camp Pendleton two weeks later.

Eight of the men were jailed and charged on June 21 with premeditated murder, a charge which carries the possibility of the death penalty if they are convicted. The other four men, including platoon commander 2nd Lt. Nathan Phan, were restricted to the local base —- but not jailed.

On of the defense attorneys, Joseph Casas said he views the recent decision by the Marines to bringing charges in the assault case as a pressure tactic to get the men not accused in Awad’s death to tell what they know about the alleged slaying.

It sure as hell makes me wonder what is going on with this case.

BAGHDAD — Iraqi and Coalition forces joined this week to squelch the violence in Ameriya, a key neighborhood in west Baghdad, as part of a city-wide operation known as Amaliya Ma’an ila Al-Amam or Operation Together Forward.

“The purpose was to eliminate terrorists and death squads in and around Ameriya,” said Iraqi army Brig. Gen. Abdul Jaleel in a press conference Wednesday.

Jaleel is the commander of 1st Brigade, 6th Iraq Army Division. The unit took the lead in a recent sweep of the town with the U.S. 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division as support.

The Iraqi and Coalition forces searched about 6,000 houses and buildings in the Ameriya neighborhood, said Jaleel. The local citizens requested the market area be secured first.

“We re-opened shops that had been closed and a neighborhood gas station,” he said. Full Story

More Iraqi police, less insurgents, more security

Influx of Iraqi police in small Euphrates River town means more security, less insurgent activity. 17 Aug. 2006, By Sgt. Roe F. Seigle, 1st Marine Division

BAGHDAD — After 30 recent graduates from the Iraqi police academy came to Baghdadi, Iraq, residents in this Saddam-era military housing complex are expressing interest in joining the police force because they are noticing a decrease in insurgent activity.

Marines with the Hawaii-based 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, or “America’s Battalion”, are combating the insurgency with local police officers – who recently received “much needed” new gear to get the job done – pistols, protective vests, rifles and batons to use while patrolling the city’s streets.

Soon they will receive radios and police cars, said Maj. Eric Kelly, 36, the commanding officer of Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment – the U.S. military unit which provides security here and mentors the city’s local police and soldiers.

Now that soldiers are manning traffic control points in and out of the city and more police are patrolling the streets with Marines, insurgents do not have the same mobility they had months ago to plan and carry out attacks in this city of 30,000 nestled on the Euphrates River northwest of Baghdad, said Kelly. TRICARE: Legislative Alert #06-16

Filed under: Uncategorized — Rosemary @ 1:09 am

The Issue: TRICARE action needed in the defense authorization conference

Action Required: Contact your Senators and urge them to solicit support from the Senate defense authorization conferees.

During the month of August, the Senate and House defense authorization conferees will meet to discuss the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (NDAA FY07). One issue to be discussed during the conference is TRICARE for the National Guard and Reserve. The House bill contains the TRICARE we need and deserve; TRICARE access to all members of the National Guard at a premium cost-share of 28 percent. The Department of Defense will pay 72 percent of the premium regardless of duty status. This is the result we have been seeking for the last six years!

It is critical the Senate conferees accept this language as part of the final conference report. The Senate version of NDAA FY07makes only minor adjustments to the Tier 2 and 3 categories passed last year.

This is our last opportunity this year to ensure that TRICARE access for all at the same cost-share is a permanent part of the conference report. We need your help now! Should the Senate recede to the House position and TRICARE access for all remains as part of the final conference report, we should finally reach our goal.

Call or email your Senators and ask them to contact the following members of the Senate defense authorization conference: (These are all Senators:)

John Warner (Chairman), Carl Levin (Ranking Member), John McCain, Edward Kennedy, James Inhofe, Robert Byrd, Pat Roberts, Joseph Lieberman, Jeff Sessions, Jack Reed, Susan Collins, Daniel Akaka, John Ensign, Bill Nelson, James Talent, Ben Nelson, Saxby Chambliss, Mark Dayton, Lindsey Graham, Evan Bayh, Elizabeth Dole, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Cornyn, John Thune

By using the “Write to Congress” feature on the NGAUS Web site at www.ngaus.org, you can IMMEDIATELY e-mail your senator. A sample letter is included in our “Write to Congress” feature.

Also, contact your friends and family and urge them to “Write to Congress” as well.

For more in-depth information and background visit our web site at www.ngaus.org.

Please direct any questions concerning this issue to Scott Hommel, NGAUS Deputy Legislative Director at 202-454-5307 or via email: scott.hommel@ngaus.org.

Iran: Over the Weekend 8/22/2006

Filed under: Uncategorized — Rosemary @ 12:42 am

I am going to give you the titles of the e-mails which have many articles in them. From there, you may go to Doctor Zin’s homepage to see the rest of the articles.

I am very grateful to have awoken today. As I drifted (slammed) into sleep, I was not sure if I would be alive today. I sure do hope we do more than talk and talk and talk. Now I know what they mean when they say, “You can talk a subject to death.”

Thank you, Doctor Zin and your whole team of dedicated people. Continue to bring us the news from behind the ‘wall of silence’, and I will continue to spread the word. Information is going to either save us or kill us. I’m on the side of saving us!
