I’m Melting! Plus News

Filed under: Bloggers, citizen journalists, homo-, jihad/ists, News, USA — Rosemary Welch @ 2:34 am

My God, it’s hot out here. I’m going to share some links with you, as I do not have the energy to write about each of these articles or I already have. (SCOTUS.)

The Wall Street Journal has a good artile on how screwed-up the court decision is that gives jihadis the right to pursue a writ of habeas corpus. It is written by Andrew McBride.

I have a radio talk show host who works with his friend (and mine), Kevin. They work on Sunday nights from 7-10 pm EST at WRKO in Boston. Gregg has written a response to Johnathan Rauch’s assertion that homosexual marriage is a ‘good‘ thing. Here it is:

Johnathan Rauch begins his article, “Why Gay Marriage is Good For America,” (Opinion Page June 21, 2008) declaring: “By order of its state Supreme Court, California began legally marrying same-sex couples this week.”

He is 100% incorrect. The fact of the matter is that “gay marriage” is not legal in California because the initiative marriage statute ratified by we, the sovereign people of California in 2000 (Prop 22), enshrined into statutory law that “only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California,” has not been changed. It remains the “law of the land.”

The California Supreme Court merely issued a declaratory opinion that limiting marriage to one man and one woman was “discriminatory” and “unconstitutional.” The court however, issued no valid or enforceable court order, as Mr. Rauch incorrectly asserts. Under the California Constitution, only the people can revoke or amend an initiative statute. None of the other three branches can revoke or amend one in any way unless the initiative measure itself so provides. Prop 22 contains no such provision as Judge Baxter clearly affirmed in his dissent.

The marriage certificates which have been illegally altered and issued in California with Governor Schwarzenegger’s authorization remain as null and void as those illegally altered and issued by former Governor Romney in Massachusetts when he, like Governor Schwarzenegger, speciously claimed that the “court legalized same sex marriage” and that he was merely “enforcing the law.”

Whether or not “gay marriage” is “good” for America is worthy of further debate.

As to whether it is “legal” in California, Massachusetts, or anywhere else in America is not.

Gregg Jackson is the author of “Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies: Issue by Issue Responses to the Most Common Claims of the Left from A to Z” and talk radio show host on WRKO in Boston.

Right on, Gregg! He also is a columnist over at Here is a letter he wrote to the LA Times. He is such a great writer! (Same topic.)

Here is some news from ACT! For America.

An ACT! for America volunteer encounters a Wahhabi Muslim at the ISA protest.
I got into it with a Muslim man today at the [Islamic Saudi Academy] protest when he was waiting for the light to change. He kept yelling that we were a bunch of idiots, that we should protest at the Jewish school and that we should be ashamed that we were doing this in front of kids. I told him he should be ashamed that the academy teaches his kids to hate Americans. He kept ranting and raving so I asked him if it was not true that the Koran teaches that Jews and Christians are Apes and Pigs, and he said, facetiously that, yes, that the Koran teaches that Jews and Christians are apes and pigs. I told him that he knew it did. Then he asked me if I’d read the Koran. I told him I have. I haven’t read every inch of it yet but I am working my way through it. I have studied the verses in different discussions and articles for the past 4 1/2 years. I also called him on his taqqiya, that being a form of lying or only telling half truths to further the spread of Islam.

Professor Paul Eidelberg versus Daniel Pipes on the ‘no name war” against ‘Islamism’.
Muslims do not speak of moderate Christians or of moderate Jews no more than we ever spoke of moderate Nazis. Intellectually liberated Muslims like Nonie Darwish and Wafa Sultan are strategically irrelevant. Indeed, the more we appease the enemy by refraining from calling him by his true name, the more so-called moderate Muslims will manifest their violent Mohammedan heritage. Even secular Muslims supported Saddam Hussein. Unlike Americans and Europeans, Muslim leaders name their enemies. They call Christians the Sunday people, and Jews the Saturday people. Ahmadinejad of Iran calls for a world without the United States and Israel, meaning a world without Christianity and Judaism. The same murderous hatred is preached in innumerable mosques in the United States financed by Saudi Arabia.

Canadian Muslim Muhammed Parvez charged with first-degree murder in ‘Honor Killing’ of daughter.
Last December we posted on the ‘honor killing’ through strangulation of a rebellious daughter, Aqsa Parvez, who refused to wear a hijab, by her Muslim father, Muhammed Parvez, in Toronto. It was horrific then and the memory of it is still chilling. There is no comfort for murder of a child as beautiful as Miss Parvez was. In this post from the Magic Statistics blog, we learn that the charges against Muhammed Parvez have been appropriately upgraded to first degree murder. However, the brother of the victim, his sister, Aqsa, Waqas Parvez, 26, has been charged only with obstructing police for allegedly misleading investigators. It had been alleged that he assisted in the premediated murder.

GITMO was one giant al Qaeda Cell.
Rear Adm. Mark H. Buzby , until recently the commanding officer at Guantanamo, acknowledged that senior militant leaders gained influence and control in his prison. “We have that full range of (Taliban and al Qaida) leadership here, why would they not continue to be functional as an organization?” he said in a telephone interview. “I must make the assumption that there’s a fully functional al Qaida cell here at Guantanamo.”

Congressman Mark Kirk (R-IL) Asks Terrorist Screening of Gazan Fulbrights.
In a response to questions from Mr. Kirk, the State Department responded that it does not have formal ties with the Islamic University of Gaza, or IUG. “The U.S. Consulate does not deal with the IUG as an institution because of its links to Hamas. However, we continue to accept applications from individual students and professors. These applications go through the same vetting process as all other USG funded grantees,” the State Department wrote in response. Mr. Kirk however said he was dumbfounded as to why the Fulbright applicants from the Islamic University of Gaza were not fully screened. “Since the appropriations committee on behalf of the U.S. taxpayer paid for the TSC system, can’t we run these names? The answer from State is, we don’t do that,” Mr. Kirk said in an interview. The Islamic University of Gaza is intertwined with Hamas. In his letter, Mr. Kirk quotes Jameela El Shanty, a professor at the school who told the Baltimore Sun in 2006: “Hamas built this institution. The university presents the philosophy of Hamas. If you want to know what Hamas is, you can know it from the university.”

Muslim Grievance Theater: Hijab Women Dissed @ Obama Rally Are Muslim Terror Front-Group Activists, Top Islamic Proselytizer.
Now, I’ve come to learn that one of the hijab-encrusted, rejected whiners, Hebba Aref, was an official of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), in charge of proselytizing. And Aref was not just any officer of the U-M Dearborn Muslim group. She was in charge of Dawa, or proselytizing, from 2000 to 2003 at the school. Yup, she was the chief “Conversion to Islam” officer at one of the most pan-Islamist college campuses in the country. And Shimaa Abdelfadeel, the other woman allegedly excluded by the Obama campaign, was chair of SAFE, a University of Michigan-Ann Arbor group that hosted the 2002 Divestment Conference against Israel at which “Annihilate the Jews!” was chanted and Islamic Jihad founder Sami Al-Arian was keynote speaker.

“ACLU Challenges Government’s Stigmatizing Of Mainstream Muslim Groups In Holy Land Case”: Really!
“ISNA’s goal is to promote the participation of American Muslims in this country’s civil and political life, and in interfaith dialogue,” said Ingrid Mattson, President of ISNA. “Our efforts have been severely undermined by a government-imposed stigma and the inflammatory misrepresentation of ISNA in the public sphere. Until now, we’ve had no way to clear our names and we’re asking the court to set the record straight.” We trust that the Federal District Court Judge assigned to this new trial of the Holy land Foundation won’t be taken in by these specious arguments. After all there is evidence that the ISNA, CAIR, the ICNA and others were involved in funelling over $12 million in charitable donations to the terrorist group Hamas.

Fighting Jihad on Wall Street.
Christopher Holton of the Center for Security Policy has this compact primer on the threat of shari’a finance. It in he catalogues for us the radical Islamic clerics involved as consultants to a number of top drawer ‘socially responsible’ shari’a compliant funds, how it has invaded the U.S. capital markets, the ease of channeling zakat or Islamic charity funds to terrorist groups, the practical pitfalls of trying to invest terror free.

Tahdiyah is no Hudna: Israeli – Hamas “Ceasefire Backfire?”
There is no cease fire or hudna in Arabic between Isarel and Hamas in Gaza. There is tahdiyah, a calming. The difference is a tahdiyah implies no recognition of Israel by Jihadist Hamas. Regardless, this is Israel’s ‘darkest week,’ as Jerusalem Post columnist Caroline Glick termed it. An Egyptian brokered deal that will permit Hamas to restock, rearm and get deliveries of more arms and trained cadres from Iran. A victory for Iran is the opinion of historian Michael Oren in the Wall Street Journal. Meanwhile PM Olmert is desperately trying to posture Israel as desiring peace talks with Lebanon with the promise of giving back the disputed Shebaa Farms-the gateway to the Golan, and insinuating that it might even give back the Golan to Syria in some half baked deal. There’s a Knesset vote requiring a mandatory referendum and a super majority vote to get that fantasy. Some cynics in Israel and the world press believe this is a smokescreen to cover up Olmert’s corruption investigation and set the stage for a Knesset vote on possible new elections next week. Meanwhile, Israel released news of extensive maneuvers in the eastern Mediterranean involving IAF special squadrons and helicopter rescue craft simulating a raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran thunders back that it will retaliate. Calming? Hardly. Sounds menacingly like the prelude to a summer war, especially with nothing to be gained for Israel’s security given a deep skepticism of its people.

“US intel: Hizbullah attack imminent”: more Genocidal threats to American and Canadian Jews.
“They want to kill as many people as they can, they want it to be a big splash,” former CIA intelligence officer Bob Baer, who claimed he met Hizbullah leaders in Beirut last month, was quoted by ABC News as saying. “They cannot have an operation fail and I don’t think they will. They’re the A-team of terrorism.”

According to officials quoted by the report, up to 20 suspected Hizbullah members have been under surveillance and their activities were being coordinated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. “Hizbullah would not carry out an attack in the west, or wherever this attack is going to occur, without approval from Teheran,” Baer was quoted as saying.

That is it for ACT! For America. Please continue to read them. It is a very good site. You can find more news there than you can in the whole NY Times!

Here is an email from American Congress for Truth:

“Report: Troubling texts at Va. Islamic school”- Violence against unbelievers, us.

Comment by Jerry Gordon, American Congress for Truth blog editor.

Yesterday the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) released a report covering the translations of 17 textbooks used by the Saudi Embassy – backed Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), a private school using County facilities in McLean, Virginia. Last month the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors extended the lease of the ISA. Nina Shea of the Hudson Institute in Washington, DC, and a Commissioner of the USCIRF, pressed for the translation of these ISA texts. We’re appreciative that she did and have posted on this controversy frequently. As revealed in the USCIRF report, the contents are appalling. The USCIRF had recommended to the State Department that this Saudi-backed institution be closed. State turned a deaf ear, and the Washington Post in an editorial took the USCIRF to task for not being ‘tolerant’. Tolerant???

Note what the USCIRF translations found in the texts used at the ISA in McLean, Virginia:

The commission said it obtained 17 of the academy’s textbooks through a variety of channels, including from members of Congress. The texts did appear to contain numerous revisions, including pages that were removed or passages that were whited out, but numerous troubling passages remained, according to the panel:

The authors of a 12th-grade text on Quranic interpretation state that apostates (those who convert from Islam), adulterers and people who murder Muslims can be permissibly killed.

The authors of a 12th-grade text on monotheism write that “(m)ajor polytheism makes blood and wealth permissible,” meaning that a Muslim can take with impunity the life and property of someone believed guilty of polytheism. According to the panel, the strict Saudi interpretation of polytheism includes Shiite and Sufi Muslims as well as Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists.

A social studies text offers the view that Jews were responsible for the split between Sunni and Shiite Muslims: “The cause of the discord: The Jews conspired against Islam and its people. A sly, wicked person who sinfully and deceitfully professed Islam infiltrated (the Muslims).”

More generally, the panel found that the academy textbooks hold the view that the Muslim world was strong when united under a single caliph, the Arabic language and the Sunni creed, and that Muslims have grown weak because of foreign influence and internal divisions.

The books say it’s OK for Muslims to kill adulterers and converts.

This Wahhabi doctrine is being poured with unrelenting hate into the minds of youngsters attending the ISA. Let us not forget that a Valedictorian in the Class of 1999 of the ISA was convicted for plotting the assassination of President Bush.

Citizens of Fairfax County should be outraged by what the County Board of supervisors is perpetrating. All of us should be enraged that our government permits this doctrinal hatred of us to go on unabated not only at the ISA but at hundreds of Saudi financed Madrassas here in the US.

AP, June 11, 2008

McLEAN, Va. – Textbooks at a private Islamic school in northern Virginia teach students that it is permissible for Muslims to kill adulterers and converts from Islam, according to a federal investigation released Wednesday.

Other passages in the school’s textbooks state that “the Jews conspired against Islam and its people” and that Muslims are permitted to take the lives and property of those deemed “polytheists.”

The passages were found in selected textbooks used during the 2007-08 school year by the Islamic Saudi Academy, which teaches 900 students in grades K-12 at two campuses in Alexandria and Fairfax and receives much of its funding from the Saudi government.

The academy has come under scrutiny from critics who allege that it fosters an intolerant brand of Islam similar to that taught in the conservative Saudi kingdom. In the review, the panel recommended that the school make all of its textbooks available to the State Department so changes can be made before the next school year. (Continue Reading This Article)

Smuggling nuclear weapons, blueprints

Filed under: News, Nuclear Weapons, otb, Talon, UN — Rosemary Welch @ 3:00 am

This Sunday, 15 June 2008, the Washington Post had an article concerning the sale and distribution of nuclear weapons blueprints captured by the Swiss government in the year 2006 and they subsequently destroyed these documents under the supervision of the UN’s IAEA. However, the existence of these documents were already well known to the IAEA since at least 2005. This is now being denied.

The countries pursuing the materials and ‘know how’ to build a nuclear weapon are North Korea, Iran, Lybia and Syria. If Lybia had indeed given their nuclear program to the United States in the year 2004, I would suggest this had been an on going operation, and it could be plausible that the IAEA did not know about it at first. Plausible, but not likely.

So what does this mean to the United States and other countries in the world? Iran could become a nuclear power much sooner than anyone is anticipating, and all countries are sitting around doing nothing while depending on the United States to protect them all.

Well, I have a suggestion. Since NATO is toothless in Afghanistan due to their country’s orders of not to fire unless fired upon, go home. You are in our way. You are getting our men and women killed, and I hate that. Europe should start training their men and women on how to fight a real war, because we need partners. We do not need more people to babysit. I have never heard of waiting until you take a chance with your life before you have permission to shoot at the enemy. This is bogus. Europe does not believe they are in a war.

Getting back to the nuclear weapons smuggling ring, this is what the Washington Post has to say:

An international smuggling ring that sold bomb-related parts to Libya, Iran and North Korea also managed to acquire blueprints for an advanced nuclear weapon, according to a draft report by a former top U.N. arms inspector that suggests the plans could have been shared secretly with any number of countries or rogue groups. [Emphasis mine.]

The drawings, discovered in 2006 on computers owned by Swiss businessmen – Marco and Urs and their father, Friedrich Tinner – included essential details for building a compact nuclear device that could be fitted on a type of ballistic missile used by Iran and more than a dozen developing countries, the report states. Later it is revealed that Urs may have been helping the US intelligence, but this has neither been confirmed nor denied.

It is later discovered that the IAEA got caught in another lie, they had known about these documents since at least 2005 [Paragraph 8]. As for this anonymous diplomat, Iran had demanded he be expelled from Iran and the investigations because he was the only one asking the right questions and demanding to see sites that Iran did not want to answer any questions about their undermining everyone or reveal any SECRETS. I remember this person as I wrote about him at the time.

The documents that were seized contained over 1000 Gigabytes of data which were destroyed by our ‘friends’ the Swiss. At the same time, they do not know all of the information that was in those relevant documents. They claim to have done this to keep the jihadis from getting their hands on them, but I am a skeptic in this arena. I don’t have any proof, but I have a feeling there were some nefarious activities between the businessmen who had the documents, the Swiss government and the UN. After all, they were all doing business with Iran, and let us not forget the Oil for $$$ UN scandal.

The WaPo also shares with us that the information given to Lybia was old, so that may coincide with the age of these documents. However, there were also some very new, sophisticated blueprints and materials. There is also an acknowledgement that Israel did indeed take out Syria’s nuclear reactor. Maybe this is why Syria did not squawk like a chicken with its head cut off when the incident occurred? *heh*

Albright, a former IAEA inspector in Iraq…although an assessment late last year by U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Iran had discontinued its nuclear weapons program in 2003…His institute was the first to publicly identify the location of an alleged Syrian nuclear reactor that was destroyed by Israeli warplanes last September.

This next clip bothers the dickens out of me:

Iran also possesses medium-range ballistic missiles and is believed by U.S. government officials to be seeking the capability to build nuclear weapons in the future, although an assessment late last year by U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Iran had discontinued its nuclear weapons program in 2003. [Emphasis mine.]

What is wrong with this picture? Well, on its face you are left to believe that Iran is a logical country who only wants to keep the peace, right? WRONG! If they did stop production, it was because we had them surrounded! We had just gone into Iraq, we were already in Afghanistan, and they were shaking in their boots. We should have taken them out then while we had the advantage. No such luck with the Euro-pee-ons begging the State Department not to allow a total victory in this area due to the sweet business dealings the Euro-pee-ons had with Iran.

If this had been any dictator or communist, they never would have questioned the validity of their claims, such as the possession of long range missles. My goodness, who does NOT know this? BTW, thank you again, Israel for a job well done!

About Marco and Urs and their father, Friedrich Tinner. They had been smuggling these nuclear weapons and/or blueprints since the mid-1980’s. How is this Bush’s fault? Anyway…These were Swiss businessmen who worked with A. Q. Khan of Pakistan as noted by the USA and the IAEA. It was only after a year long intelligence effort by the UK and the USA that concluded in 2003 that they were stopped.

Hmm. Could this also have had something to do with the so-called stoppage by Iran? Makes one wonder…

A footnote: Khan is now trying to tell anyone that will listen that he was used by the Pakistani government as a scapegoat. Maybe that is why he only received house arrest? Either way, Pakistan is another problem we will most certainly continue to discuss.

Another black eye for the IAEA is that they are now denying the existence of the second weapon’s documents, although they have shared the intelligence with the USA.

Be careful as you read the article from WaPo, because they are trying to make the Pakistani government appear as though they were genuinely shocked. They were not. It is not very difficult to fool this nimrod they have at the helm of the IAEA. I could probably build a nuclear weapon right in front of him, and he would not even know it. (Not that I know how, I do not.) The article is full of some things I did not already know, many I had already knew, and some things I know that apparently they do not! lol. All in all, it is a good article.

Which leads me to this conclusion. There are probably still more copies of those blueprints out there, we need to step up the heat on Pakistan to allow us access to Khan, Pakistan needs to stop making deals with the Taliban and al Qaida, and they had better get back on the right path if they expect one single shiny penny from us.

Also, we live in a dangerous world. I wonder what it was like in WWII when airplanes were just coming into the battlefield? I know one thing. It won’t be the same if nuclear weapons become the weapon of choice. We must move decisively and promptly if we are to save the world from a major holocaust of a proportion that is unconceivable at this time. Almost as unconceivable as having two planes fly into the World Trade Center, one plane flying into the Pentagon, and being downed in a field in Pennsylvania.

Rest in Peace Tim Russert

Filed under: dead, News, ota, otb, people — Rosemary Welch @ 11:18 pm

I know many have already heard the news that Tim Russert has died of a (possible) heart attack while at work earlier this afternoon at the age of 58, but I want to add my 2 cents. I could always count on Tim to have an interesting show, unless I really couldn’t stand the interviewee. That would be my hang-up, not his. He tried to treat everyone fairly, and he was mostly successful. When you made it to the Meet the Press show, you made it! I did think he may have been a little tougher on Conservatives than Liberals, but that again could be my perception. This is not a bad thing. Do not misunderstand me. It is good that our politicians get the tough questions. This way, we can see what kind of backbone (if any) they had. lol.

Who out there can fill his shoes? I cannot think of one person save Bret Hume from Special Report over at Fox News. I doubt they will ask him, and it will be to their loss. Am I suggesting that Tim is easily replacable? Of course not! That is why it is so hard to find anyone to take his place on a show that Tim literally pulled up from the ash heap of history.

Tim Russert will certainly be missed, and I will continue to carry the mantra of Bills for you, Tim. Go Bills! Rest in sweet Peace, Tim. May your family find solace in the outpouring of love and prayers that are following this sudden, horrible news. May you rest in Peace, Tim, and thank you for all that you’ve given. God bless you.

I have collected a variety of news articles for your reading pleasure. While they may be links to other sites or videos, I have been just a little too busy to get it right. I hope you enjoy it! Have a great weekend.

Here are some undercover videos from ACT! for America from mosques in the UK: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, , and Yasir Qadhi talks about ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’. Bilal Philips responds to ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’, Abu Usama responds to ‘Dispatches – Undercover Mosques’, Dispatches Under Cover Mosque Part 1, Dispatches Under Cover Mosque Part 2, and many more responses here. For this week’s Flight 93 Blogburst, here is Alec’s post. Sorry, but I just got too busy. A call for America’s churches to step up as witnesses for the truth about the Flight 93 memorial. [Source: Error Theory.]

The Vets For Freedom made it into the Wall Street Journal! Here is the article: Why Obama Must Go to Iraq, By: Pete Hegseth. Their PAC promises to make sure that our troops are well served, no matter the admistration, and they will be steadfast as we come together and stand with them. God Bless Them!

As you may have figured out by now, I am sooo far behind! Here is the link to the Blogs4Borders Video Blogburst: 06/02/08.

I must share with you one of our best mibloggers who is actually on the ground in Iraq. He has been to Afghanistan as well. He knows of what he speaks, and he is pro-American–not pro-democrat nor pro-republican. Pro-American. It’s about time someone was! Here are some of the stories he has written recently: Townhall (DON’T FORGET, JOIN TOWNHALL AND GET HIS BOOK FREE!!!), An Open Offer to U.S. Senators, Great Americans: David Leimbach Comes Home. Investigation Launched, The Buck Stops, In Memory of SPC David Lee Leimbach, Memorial Day, Curiouser and curiouser and Distributor Refuses to Carry “Moment of Truth in Iraq” on Military Bases.

There is just one more video I would like to share with you. (Well, I’d like to share a lot of them, but I chose this one.) For those of us who are curious about whether or not we would have won WWII if we had the same press back then as we have today, watch this. IT IS NOT TRUE, it is a ‘what if’…You will find it at JammieWearingFool: June 6, 1944, the ‘Day of Days’. Great job guys.

Lastly, but certainly never leastly, take a moment out of your day today to remember all of those who went to war before you and for you. This is D-Day. God bless our military! Thank you, men and women of the Armed Forces. We are very grateful for your lives, no matter how long or short they have been. I also pray for our military of today. I thank God for you each day. I also pray for your protection. Keep your heads down and your powder dry. We love you. God bless you.

Jerusalem Day June 2, 2008 – One Nation’s Capital throughout History.

One Nation’s Capital throughout History

Jerusalem and the Jewish people are so intertwined that telling the history of one is telling the history of the other. For more than 3,000 years, Jerusalem has played a central role in the history of the Jews, culturally, politically, and spiritually, a role first documented in the Scriptures. All through the 2,000 years of the diaspora, Jews have called Jerusalem their ancestral home. This sharply contrasts the relationship between Jerusalem and the new Islamists who artificially inflate Islam’s links to Jerusalem.

The Arab rulers who controlled Jerusalem through the 1950s and 1960s demonstrated no religious tolerance in a city that gave birth to two major Western religions. That changed after the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel regained control of the whole city. Symbolically, one of Israel’s first steps was to officially recognize and respect all religious interests in Jerusalem. But the war for control of Jerusalem and its religious sites is not over.

Palestinian terrorism has targeted Jerusalem particularly in an attempt to regain control of the city from Israel. The result is that they have turned Jerusalem , literally the City of Peace , into a bloody battleground and have thus forfeited their claim to share in the city’s destiny.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

Kennedy Talked, Khrushchev Triumphed.

Published: May 22, 2008

IN his inaugural address, President John F. Kennedy expressed in two eloquent sentences, often invoked by Barack Obama, a policy that turned out to be one of his presidency’s — indeed one of the cold war’s — most consequential: “Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.” Arthur Schlesinger Jr., Kennedy’s special assistant, called those sentences “the distinctive note” of the inaugural.

They have also been a distinctive note in Senator Obama’s campaign, and were made even more prominent last week when President Bush, in a speech to Israel’s Parliament, disparaged a willingness to negotiate with America’s adversaries as appeasement. Senator Obama defended his position by again enlisting Kennedy’s legacy: “If George Bush and John McCain have a problem with direct diplomacy led by the president of the United States, then they can explain why they have a problem with John F. Kennedy, because that’s what he did with Khrushchev.”

But Kennedy’s one presidential meeting with Nikita Khrushchev, the Soviet premier, suggests that there are legitimate reasons to fear negotiating with one’s adversaries. Although Kennedy was keenly aware of some of the risks of such meetings — his Harvard thesis was titled “Appeasement at Munich” — he embarked on a summit meeting with Khrushchev in Vienna in June 1961, a move that would be recorded as one of the more self-destructive American actions of the cold war, and one that contributed to the most dangerous crisis of the nuclear age.

Senior American statesmen like George Kennan advised Kennedy not to rush into a high-level meeting, arguing that Khrushchev had engaged in anti-American propaganda and that the issues at hand could as well be addressed by lower-level diplomats. Kennedy’s own secretary of state, Dean Rusk, had argued much the same in a Foreign Affairs article the previous year: “Is it wise to gamble so heavily? Are not these two men who should be kept apart until others have found a sure meeting ground of accommodation between them?”

But Kennedy went ahead, and for two days he was pummeled by the Soviet leader. Despite his eloquence, Kennedy was no match as a sparring partner, and offered only token resistance as Khrushchev lectured him on the hypocrisy of American foreign policy, cautioned America against supporting “old, moribund, reactionary regimes” and asserted that the United States, which had valiantly risen against the British, now stood “against other peoples following its suit.” Khrushchev used the opportunity of a face-to-face meeting to warn Kennedy that his country could not be intimidated and that it was “very unwise” for the United States to surround the Soviet Union with military bases.

Kennedy’s aides convinced the press at the time that behind closed doors the president was performing well, but American diplomats in attendance, including the ambassador to the Soviet Union, later said they were shocked that Kennedy had taken so much abuse. Paul Nitze, the assistant secretary of defense, said the meeting was “just a disaster.” Khrushchev’s aide, after the first day, said the American president seemed “very inexperienced, even immature.” Khrushchev agreed, noting that the youthful Kennedy was “too intelligent and too weak.” The Soviet leader left Vienna elated — and with a very low opinion of the leader of the free world.

Kennedy’s assessment of his own performance was no less severe. Only a few minutes after parting with Khrushchev, Kennedy, a World War II veteran, told James Reston of The New York Times that the summit meeting had been the “roughest thing in my life.” Kennedy went on: “He just beat the hell out of me. I’ve got a terrible problem if he thinks I’m inexperienced and have no guts. Until we remove those ideas we won’t get anywhere with him.”

A little more than two months later, Khrushchev gave the go-ahead to begin erecting what would become the Berlin Wall. Kennedy had resigned himself to it, telling his aides in private that “a wall is a hell of a lot better than a war.” The following spring, Khrushchev made plans to “throw a hedgehog at Uncle Sam’s pants”: nuclear missiles in Cuba. And while there were many factors that led to the missile crisis, it is no exaggeration to say that the impression Khrushchev formed at Vienna — of Kennedy as ineffective — was among them.

If Barack Obama wants to follow in Kennedy’s footsteps, he should heed the lesson that Kennedy learned in his first year in office: sometimes there is good reason to fear to negotiate.

Small Steps in Talks on Kashmir.

Published: May 22, 2008

India and Pakistan agreed to give consular access to each other’s prisoners and increase cross-border bus service in the disputed region of Kashmir during talks between the countries’ foreign ministers. The small concessions were considered a sign of progress between the nuclear powers. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, foreign minister of Pakistan, said talks were “very frank,” while India’s foreign minister, Pranab Mukherjee, said the two countries “have to cover a long distance.” The governments plan to meet again in July.
Bring On the Foreign Policy Debate.

May 19, 2008; Page A15.

President Bush’s speech to Israel’s Knesset, where he equated “negotiat[ing] with the terrorists and radicals” to “the false comfort of appeasement,” drew harsh criticism from Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders. They apparently thought the president was talking about them, and perhaps he was.

Wittingly or not, the president may well have created a defining moment in the 2008 campaign. And Mr. Obama stepped right into the vortex by saying he was willing to debate John McCain on national security “any time, any place.” Mr. McCain should accept that challenge today.

The Obama view of negotiations as the alpha and the omega of U.S. foreign policy highlights a fundamental conceptual divide between the major parties and their putative presidential nominees. This divide also opened in 2004, when John Kerry insisted that our foreign policy pass a “global test” to be considered legitimate.

At first glance, the idea of sitting down with adversaries seems hard to quarrel with. In our daily lives, we meet with competitors, opponents and unpleasant people all the time. Mr. Obama hopes to characterize the debate about international negotiations as one between his reasonableness and the hard-line attitude of a group of unilateralist GOP cowboys.

The real debate is radically different. On one side are those who believe that negotiations should be used to resolve international disputes 99% of the time. That is where I am, and where I think Mr. McCain is. On the other side are those like Mr. Obama, who apparently want to use negotiations 100% of the time. It is the 100%-ers who suffer from an obsession that is naïve and dangerous.

Negotiation is not a policy. It is a technique. Saying that one favors negotiation with, say, Iran, has no more intellectual content than saying one favors using a spoon. For what? Under what circumstances? With what objectives? On these specifics, Mr. Obama has been consistently sketchy.

Like all human activity, negotiation has costs and benefits. If only benefits were involved, then it would be hard to quarrel with the “what can we lose?” mantra one hears so often. In fact, the costs and potential downsides are real, and not to be ignored.

When the U.S. negotiates with “terrorists and radicals,” it gives them legitimacy, a precious and tangible political asset. Thus, even Mr. Obama criticized former President Jimmy Carter for his recent meetings with Hamas leaders. Meeting with leaders of state sponsors of terrorism such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Kim Jong Il is also a mistake. State sponsors use others as surrogates, but they are just as much terrorists as those who actually carry out the dastardly acts. Legitimacy and international acceptability are qualities terrorists crave, and should therefore not be conferred casually, if at all.

Moreover, negotiations – especially those “without precondition” as Mr. Obama has specifically advocated – consume time, another precious asset that terrorists and rogue leaders prize. Here, President Bush’s reference to Hitler was particularly apt: While the diplomats of European democracies played with their umbrellas, the Nazis were rearming and expanding their industrial power.

In today’s world of weapons of mass destruction, time is again a precious asset, one almost invariably on the side of the would-be proliferators. Time allows them to perfect the complex science and technology necessary to sustain nuclear weapons and missile programs, and provides far greater opportunity for concealing their activities from our ability to detect and, if necessary, destroy them.

Iran has conclusively proven how to use negotiations to this end. After five years of negotiations with the Europeans, with the Bush administration’s approbation throughout, the only result is that Iran is five years closer to having nuclear weapons. North Korea has also used the Six-Party Talks to gain time, testing its first nuclear weapon in 2006, all the while cloning its Yongbyon reactor in the Syrian desert.

Finally, negotiations entail opportunity costs, consuming scarce presidential time and attention. Those resources cannot be applied everywhere, and engaging in true discussions, as opposed to political charades, does divert time and attention from other priorities. No better example can be found than the Bush administration’s pursuit of the Annapolis Process between Arabs and Israelis, which has gone and will go nowhere. While Annapolis has been burning up U.S. time and effort, Lebanon has been burning, as Hezbollah strengthens its position there. This is an opportunity cost for the U.S., and a tragedy for the people of Lebanon.

President Bush is not running this November, no matter how hard Mr. Obama wishes it were so. Mr. McCain will have the chance to set out his own views on when and where diplomacy is appropriate, and where more fortitude is required. In any event, from the American voter’s perspective, this debate on the role of negotiations in foreign policy will be critically, perhaps mortally, important. Bring it on.

Orwell Lives in Burma Today.

May 19, 2008

The ruling military junta here is trying hard to pretend it has the country under control in the wake of Cyclone Nargis. On Saturday, the regime flew foreign diplomats to neatly-configured aid camps. State-run radio is optimistic. The regime’s state newspaper, the New Light of Myanmar, ran articles last week claiming the national relief operation is officially over. Photographs showed soldiers loading or unloading neatly-packed trucks filled with sacks of rice. Generals are seen handing blankets to grateful survivors who kneel at their feet.

Welcome to the Orwellian world of life in Burma today, where the media portrays a reality unknown to most residents. The real story is far more horrifying.

On the ground here in an Irrawaddy Delta village called Kungyangon, near Rangoon, aid workers report that the muddy, washed-out road is lined with thousands of desperate people who have no place to live and no food to feed themselves. A businessman who just returned from the worst-hit south-western reaches of the Delta showed me film footage recorded in one village over ten days after the cyclone hit. Blank-faced survivors said they had not yet received aid of any kind. The camera captured bloated bodies floating in ponds and flooded paddy fields.

Meanwhile, the few international aid agencies already on the ground here, such as Save the Children and the World Food Programme, have been prevented by the authorities from accessing affected areas. Most foreign aid workers are confined to their offices in Rangoon, supported by small teams of local Burmese staff who have been granted travel permission to affected areas. Unable to travel down to the Delta — the road is now blocked by military checkpoints and foreigners who are caught are turned back — international disaster relief experts are holding secret meetings to train local Burmese volunteers in the basic of emergency response management. It’s hardly enough when the junta itself admitted Friday that 78,000 have died from the Cyclone. This number is likely to increase as disease and hunger kicks in.

The disconnect between what’s happening here and what the state media reports is nothing new. After the nationwide uprising of 1988, when an estimated 3,000 people were killed by government soldiers, the regime began a massive cover-up campaign, arresting dissidents and relocating neighborhoods that had been considered hotbeds of political opposition. After the demonstrations led by Buddhist monks in September last year, when soldiers killed a still unconfirmed number of peaceful protestors, the Burmese regime shut down Internet connections and limited the amount of outside assistance allowed into the country.

The generals are well-practiced in hiding the truth of events, distorting the news, and rewriting history in their own favor. When the international community erupts in protest, they hunker down and wait for the international attention to fade away.

Most Burmese seem resigned to this fate. This is the way the generals have always acted and always will act, they say — no matter what happens. They are occupied with rebuilding damaged homes, coping with rising food and fuel prices, and mobilizing whatever aid they can acquire to help people in the Delta.

Barring a split in the regime, it is difficult to think that any kind of immediate change or opening up can come from this. The generals are, after all, using tried and tested methods of self-protection and displaying a determination to hold on to power against all odds, and at any cost. The epic proportion of this disaster only makes their actions more unbelievable, and reprehensible.

Father of Potential Euthanasia Victim Lauren Richardson Asks Gov for Help
by Steven Ertelt Editor
May 7, 2008

Dover, DE ( — The family of Lauren Richardson continues to press her case and is now calling on the governor of Delaware for help to save her life. Richardson has become the next Terri Schiavo as her parents engage in a massive legal and philosophical debate about whether she should live or die.

Richardson is a 23-year-old woman who overdosed on heroin in August 2006 while she was three months pregnant with a baby girl.

Doctors kept Lauren on life support until she delivered her baby in February 2007. Shortly thereafter, her parents began a fight that is reminiscent of the battle over Terri’s life and death.

Edith Towers, Lauren’s mother, wants to remove her feeding tube and starve and dehydrate her to death in the same manner that Michael Schiavo subjected Terri.

On the other side is Randy Richardson, Lauren’s father, who is fighting to save her life and wants to be appointed as her guardian to ensure she receives appropriate medical care and treatment.

Richardson recently said the fight to save Lauren continues and that he is “totally committed to a path that includes rehabilitative treatment and therapy with the hope that Lauren can recover significantly from her disability.”

He hope that, one day, Lauren may be able to “participate in the raising of her daughter that she gave birth to while in her current condition.”

Randy Richardson says, “Lauren’s mother, after convincing one Delaware judge to declare that she should be Lauren’s guardian, remains resolute in her assertion that Lauren is vegetative and cannot recover.”

“Her mother has withheld authorization for any rehabilitative medical treatment and therapy for Lauren, and intends to have Lauren’s feeding tube halted” if his efforts to save her fail.

“We cannot understand her reasoning in refusing a path of hope, healing, and restoration for Lauren, and insisting on causing her death by withholding food and water from her,” he added.

“The issue in Lauren’s case is the eternal truth that all people, no matter what their medical condition, bear the image of God and deserve basic care and an opportunity to be restored to health,” he said.

Richardson’s family is calling on Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner to intervene and save Lauren from an expected court order dictating her euthanasia death.

As in the Terri Schiavo case, physicians have been quick to label Lauren as having a persistent vegetative state — something Terri’s family called dehumanizing and medically inaccurate as patients have recovered from it.

Noted attorney and author Wesley Smith has written about Lauren’s case and he says he viewed a video Richardson’s father released and he says she seems reactive particularly when her father attempts to interact with her.

“Whether she is conscious or not is irrelevant to her equal moral worth as a human being,” Smith adds.

“The fight in this case is over whether she lives as a profoundly disabled woman or is made to die slowly over two weeks by dehydration–as Terri Schiavo did,” Smith explained. “If we did that to a dog, we would go to jail. Do it to a disabled woman who needs a feeding tube and it is called medical ethics.”

ACTION: Contact Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner at and ask her to help Randy Richardson save his daughter’s life.

Iraqi troops seize IEDs in east Mansour

BAGHDAD (May 8, 2008) – Alert Iraqi army soldiers and Iraqi policemen prevented potential improvised explosive device attacks in the East Mansour District of Baghdad when they stopped a vehicle that was being used by criminal forces to transport IEDs in the area at about 1 p.m. May 7.

Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 54th Brigade, 6th Iraqi army division, along with Jamia Iraqi policemen, conducted a traffic stop after noticing a suspicious individual driving down a road.

After stopping the vehicle, the alert soldiers and policemen discovered the deadly weapons in the vehicle. The forces fired at the man and wounded him.

Inside the vehicle, the forces seized three tanks of oxygen that were set up as IEDs.

An explosive ordnance detachment arrived on the scene and detonated the device.

“The Iraqi security forces continue to demonstrate their professionalism every day as the combat the terrorist forces,” said Col. Allen Batschelet, chief of staff, Multi-National Division – Baghdad and the 4th Infantry Division. “Their attention to detail prevented what could have been a deadly attack on the innocent people of Iraq.”

London Politics Open Post Tuesday/Wednesday

Filed under: elections, money, News, Oil, ota, otb, pols, SA, UK — Rosemary Welch @ 5:06 am

I had written a whole post about the disconnect between London’s Mayor Livingston and Mayor Boris Johnson. The bottom line? Newly elected CONSERVATIVE Mayor Johnson told chavez to take a hike, after defeating LIBERAL Livingstone was accepting kickbacks to keep a PR office open in London and an office in Venezuela. The article can be found at the Opinion Journal section of the Wall Street Journal titled, “No Mas.” He also has a few words, as do I, for some of our representatives in Massachusetts.

Side note: If we are so hated the world over, why do Conservatives seem to keep winning? Hmm??? 😉

Why the summary? Because the article I wrote was a little lengthy, and someone come and moved my CPU in the middle of my work. My CPU is rather sensitive, and it became ‘unplugged’. Did I lose everything I was on at that time? YES!!! Ugh! (I forgive that person. It’s only a story.)

ACT! for America 5.25.08

Filed under: Activists, AQ, cair, News, President, terrorists/ism — Rosemary Welch @ 12:38 am

Below you will find a list with an introduction to the article by ACT! for America. These are interesting, disgusting, scary, offensive, and uplifting articles. Uplifting how? When we crush the enemy, of course!

“A Medal for Brass:” Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s Chilling Fraudulent Ad in US Media In the end, it was consultations with an independent expert on the Vatican and interviews with several recipients that solved the mystery: The medal shown in the ad is a common souvenir. It is minted each year by the thousand and handed out as a memento to those granted an audience with the pope. All the staffers at the American embassy to the Holy See, for instance, have received it. It was given to White House officials when Pope Benedict met with Bush. It is for sale at the Vatican bookstore. It confers no honor at all.

“Muslim immigrants sue CIS and FBI for delays in citizenship process:” Ingrates? ”They don’t want to bring a suit against the government,” said Khan. ”They fear they might be red-flagged.” When Hussain, 34, approached the Orlando office of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), which is helping the plaintiffs, he was unsure if he wanted to add his name. ”He said, ‘Am I going to go against the government?”’ recalled Danette Zaghari-Mask, Orlando executive director. But he had tried every avenue to speed up his citizenship application, including calling and visiting immigration offices in Orlando. The holdup, he was eventually told, was his name.

Perfection Demand only of Little Israel That Connecticut newspaper columnist approvingly quoted a letter written by a hundred anti-Israel British Jews denouncing the country’s anniversary: “We will celebrate when Arabs and Jews live as equals in a peaceful Middle East.” Of course such equality is to be attempted first not by democratizing Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, or Iran but by erasing the border that protects the smallest tribe so that it falls under the sovereignty of the very nations that drove it out and then three times waged war against it. Any such peace will be only the peace of the grave — which has been the idea all along.

“The Fall of Lebanon:” Appeasement by the West that Churchil saw in 1938 at Munich Yes, that’s it exactly. On every point, Hizballah, Iran, and Syria, got all they wanted from Lebanon’s government: its surrender of sovereignty. They have veto power over the government; one-third of the cabinet; election changes to ensure victory in the next balloting; and they will have their candidate installed as president.

America in Ashes? Former Clinton Secretary of Defense William Perry and former Assistant Secretary of Defense Graham Allison are among those who have estimated that chance at more than 50 percent over the next decade. That is, two respected experts in the field believe that the nuclear destruction of one or more American urban centers is more probable than not in the very near future. Al-Qaeda keeps increasing the number of Americans it publicly dreams of killing in its nuclear hellstorm. In 2002, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Osama bin Laden’s former official press spokesman, claimed the right for jihadis “to kill four million Americans.” Just one year later, in his fatwa declaring the use of WMD obligatory, Nasir al-Fahd put the number of Americans that it is permissible to kill without further ado at 10 million souls, roughly 3 million of them children.

“Swearing on the Koran:” Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison interviewed by Al Ahram Although Ellison is taking part in efforts made by the US State Department to improve America’s image worldwide, especially in Muslim and Arab countries, he took the liberty of criticising American policies on the Middle East. “Because of our lack of even-handedness in the Israeli- Palestinian conflict, many people in the Muslim world have doubted our commitment to democracy, doubted our commitment in promoting civil and human rights. The invasion of Iraq has done real damage to the reputation of the US,” he said.

“Counterterror staff falls to 62%:” says Muslim American FBI agent ‘whistleblower’ The FBI’s highest-ranking Arab-American agent and an FBI whistleblower who is suing the bureau for discrimination, Mr. Youssef cited a March 5 FBI e-mail sent to all counterterrorism employees at FBI headquarters in Washington that said: “Executive management is canvassing the division for volunteers to be permanently assigned to ITOS 1. This is due to the fact that ITOS 1 is currently at 62% of its funded staffing level.”

Exeter Nail bomber in U.K. is Moslem convert A Muslim convert was being held tonight after two bombs were found in a family restaurant toilet following an explosion at lunchtime. Police and bomb disposal teams were called in after a young white man apparently attempted to detonate a nail bomb. Diners heard three blasts which sounded like gunshots go off in a toilet at the Giraffe cafe in Exeter city centre as they were having lunch today.

Military Outsiders Who Succeeded In Iraq Would Be Useful On Inside The annual spring list of Army colonels promoted to brigadier generals will be shortly released. Already, rumors suggest that this year, unlike in the recent past, a number of maverick officers who have distinguished themselves fighting — and usually defeating — insurgents in Afghanistan and Iraq will be chosen.

Boy, 12, Beheads Man In Al Qaeda Video In the village of Spinkai-Roghzai where a group of journalists including CBS News were taken by Pakistan’s military on Sunday in the Waziristan tribal region, officials showed debris of what is described as a suicide training ‘nursery’. Under a pile of bricks lay the remains of an oil extracting factory which was a cover for training young boys to become ideologically charged up.

News: Illegal aliens

Filed under: dead, illegal aliens, jail, News, otb, raids — Rosemary Welch @ 6:14 am

I have a few articles for you today. The first one pertains to an article in which over 30,000 illegal aliens are stopped from voting in Arizona on May 12, 2008, another article concerns the arrests of several hundred illegal aliens in Iowa recently and one concerns Jameel Shaw.

First of all, this just goes to show you why the democrats wanted to keep ID’s out of the hands of the voterless (illegal voters)! This is just the same as those folks who only come out of their graves on election day. Amazing how do that! To read about this article, please visit Stephen Frank’s website.

Second we have a story that you may already be familiar with, but I still think it’s important to remind you so you will get off your buns and call the Congress tomorrow toll free at 1-866-340-9281 and tell them to take out the H-2B visas! Yes, they took out the Ag Workers Amnesty bill from the War budget, but this is hidden in there! Reid left in the bill another giant increase of UNSKILLED imported seasonal GUEST WORKERS, from 66,000 to over 400,000 annually by 2011!

Who is eligible?

The H2B visa is available to employers of foreign workers not working in the agricultural field. This visa is only available for work that is temporary in nature. For H2B purposes, that means:

**Recurring seasonal need;
**Intermittent need;
**Peak-load need; and
**One time occurrence.

The employer must also prove that there are no unemployed US workers willing or able to do the work. This is established through the state’s employment agency using a labor certification process. This process requires a recruitment campaign, including advertising in a local newspaper for available temporary workers.

Visa validity.

The duration of the visa is limited to the employer’s need for the temporary workers. The maximum authorized period is one year. However, the employer may extend the duration of the visa up to three years — but with a very close watch from the immigration authorities. [Source: H2B visa.]

This article is exactly the reason why we certainly do NOT need anymore illegal aliens in our country. How many more people have to die before we, the American people, the citizens of these United States, have a say in who is and is not allowed into this country?

While this article is about the arrest of illegal aliens who are taking jobs away from you and me, the news about Jameel’s name is being dragged through the mud. He was 17 years old, lived in Los Angeles, a fabulous football player, had great grades, and he was murdered by an illegal alien who was released from jail not 24 hours prior to murdering him. Why was he in jail? Possession of a weapon illegally. Let’s go through this again. He’s illegal. He illegally has possession of a gun. He’s arrested. Because in Las Angeles you are not allowed to ask anyone’s. ANYONE’S, status for being in the United States, he is released and allowed to murder a nice young man.

Now someone has gone into myspace and made up some crap about him. They put things on it to make it appear that he was in a gang. Let me explain this to you. GANG MEMBERS DO NOT GET GOOD GRADES, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE, and that’s the bottom the line. I could open a site right now and call myself George W. Bush! Would people believe it was his? Only idiots that do not understand how the internet works.

So what is happening? The news is reporting it as if it were fact. They are trying to destroy this man, although he’s already dead and cannot defend himself, so that they can rationalize why he was murdered. HUH? EVEN IF it were his site, whatever happened to, ‘Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me’?

Parents, get a hold of your children! Illegals, get out of my country! America, wake up. Mexico wants the area from Texas to Utah and westward in their possession. Maybe you don’t live here, but I do. I’m not giving it up. I need your help, though. When the war breaks out, I may not make it. You can bet I will try my best. I am an AMERICAN. It is in my blood. Is it in yours?

Update: Press “1”: Illegal Aliens Will not Assimilate.

Fighting in South Sudan may ignite civil war?

Filed under: Gov't, News, otb, Sudan, UN, War — Rosemary Welch @ 12:35 pm

In my last post, I covered the basics of Sudan. I told you about the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) between Muslim North Sudan and Christian native black South Sudan which was signed on April 8, 2005. Now the Sudanese government has moved into an oil-rich southern town with its army to take over the oil which is in dispute between the two governments over its borders (North and South), and the fighting has broken out again. Will there be another civil war? Will the South finally win so the media can stop calling the Christians rebels?

I do not know. I pray the Christians kick their behinds once and for all. Enough is enough.

Okay, maybe I need to do better job of explaining, just in case you didn’t read this article. The Muslim North Sudan was in a state of civil war with the native black Christian South from 1956, when they received their freedom the UK, until 1972. Then they began another civil war 11 years later which lasted ~22~ years with the Southern native black Christians. Two million people perished. Haven’t you heard? The USA didn’t do it, the freakin’ Arabs did! I guess that’s why it didn’t bother anyone that the Muslims were committing genocide against CHRISTIANS. They were also native to the land, which means the ARABS were not. Enough said, eh? Not on your life. I will talk about this until someone who can do something about it hears me!

If you would care to read the articles about this situation, here are a few: Fighting in Sudan town raises civil war fears (Rosemary’s, because CNN changes their stories or they just disappear), Sudan: Fighting resumes between army and former southern rebels in oil-rich town of Abyei, Fighting in Sudan oil town kills 21 soldiers-army –, and Same article just before this one, only this is on WordPress. I do this in case the article disappears. This has happened before, if you couldn’t tell. I like to be able to read my sources, not find them gone!

BTW, these articles will not say what I’ve stated so clearly here, and that is because of the Muslims. The media is government owned. Imagine if our press was government owned? I can only shudder to think how many people would be behind bars! Why do these so-called reporters allow them to control what they write? Because they are so-called reporters! Now if you really want to know what is going on in Sudan, you must watch it carefully to know when and who is lieing. You can usually assume it is the government but not always. Try the religious groups in the area. (I’m sorry, but I can’t find any right now. I’ve been at this article since yesterday, and it’s time to move on to today.)
