Learn ‘Democrat Speak’

Filed under: congress, elections, otb, pols — Rosemary Welch @ 7:30 pm

This video is right on. It is about time someone in the Capitol buildings put sound and the written word to what has happened to the Democrat Party.

I’m looking forward, also, to the Republican smack-down! Hey, I’m fair. They both SUCK, IMHO. I’m just about ready to lay down our political arms and get together with the opposition to work on a plan to throw ALL of the bums out!

It is NOT just Repukians, but Dumb-a-Rats as well who have taken this country to the point where there is no more decency, the common man can no longer run for political office, once a rich guy gets into office-they stay there ’till they die, and it was never meant to be this way. I WANT MY FREEDOM BACK!

Libs, stop trying to control me, it won’t work. Repukes, don’t insult my intelligence. Come up with a plan of your own, and stop telling me how bad the other party is. YOU’RE NO BETTER when you do that. For crying out loud, grow up and grow a pair. Cajones, that is!

THAT’S Rosemary’s rant for the day (so far, lol).

Hat tip: Adam who found this over at Red State.

Admiral praises Iraqi political debate

Filed under: CentCom, ME, pols, Troops, UN — Rosemary Welch @ 11:23 pm

by Gerry Gilmore
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON (June 12, 2008) – Ongoing debate within Iraq’s political realm about negotiations over the U.S.-Iraq strategic framework agreement indicates the healthy development of Iraq’s young democracy, the U.S. military’s top officer said here today. The completion of the agreement would allow for continued U.S. military operations in Iraq after the United Nations security resolution ends Dec. 31.

Political debate in Iraq “historically, has not taken place,” Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, noted at a Government Executive Magazine-hosted breakfast at the National Press Club. Mullen said he is encouraged by what he called the “healthy aspect” of Iraqi officials’ statements regarding the agreement. Such debate over policy would be inconceivable under Saddam Hussein’s regime, he noted.

U.S. State Department and Iraqi officials are in negotiations over the agreement, which, among other things, specifies how U.S. troops posted in Iraq would be treated under Iraqi law as part of a status-of-forces pact. The United States does not want a permanent presence in Iraq, Mullen said. “This is no desire to have permanent bases in Iraq,” Mullen emphasized. “The desire, quite frankly, is to return our forces [home] as rapidly as we can. But, at the same time,” the admiral continued, “we’re also committed to providing the security that they need until they can stand up and provide their own security.” If no strategic framework agreement between the United States and Iraq is in place before Dec. 31, Mullen said, the U.N. resolution would have to be extended.

London Politics Open Post Tuesday/Wednesday

Filed under: elections, money, News, Oil, ota, otb, pols, SA, UK — Rosemary Welch @ 5:06 am

I had written a whole post about the disconnect between London’s Mayor Livingston and Mayor Boris Johnson. The bottom line? Newly elected CONSERVATIVE Mayor Johnson told chavez to take a hike, after defeating LIBERAL Livingstone was accepting kickbacks to keep a PR office open in London and an office in Venezuela. The article can be found at the Opinion Journal section of the Wall Street Journal titled, “No Mas.” He also has a few words, as do I, for some of our representatives in Massachusetts.

Side note: If we are so hated the world over, why do Conservatives seem to keep winning? Hmm??? 😉

Why the summary? Because the article I wrote was a little lengthy, and someone come and moved my CPU in the middle of my work. My CPU is rather sensitive, and it became ‘unplugged’. Did I lose everything I was on at that time? YES!!! Ugh! (I forgive that person. It’s only a story.)

Video: Vets4Freedom have a question of Obama

Filed under: Gov't, ota, otb, pols, Vets, Video — Rosemary Welch @ 5:11 pm

As many of you remember, the Vets For Freedom went to DC on April 8, 2008, to meet with our congressmen and senators on the same day that General Patraeus was scheduled to testify before congress. Most of the people we pay to be there showed up, including Barack Omama. Why do I single him out? It was his first time showing up to work, and he left to go campaigning right after he asked only one question!

He has never been to Iraq since he has been in the senate. He had not gone in past, either. If he becomes Commander-in-Chief, how is he going to make policies about a country he has never seen? He is supposedly a man of the world. Well, Sen. Obama, if you will meet with a country who is murdering our men and women in uniform trying their best to protect your backside, why can’t you listen to our Generals and our Men on the ground?

Here is a video put out by Vets For Freedom PAC.

I would like these questions answered myself. After all, we the people deserve to know what your plans are for Iraq and for our troops that you will swear to support. Let me inform you of a fact which may have slipped your mind. When you take that oath of office, God forbid, it no longer remains just a ‘hope’ of yours to bring those troops home. You will have sworn an oath which requires much more of you. So much more that only then will you be able to comprehend what President Bush HAS DONE for ALL OF US, not just George Soros. Good day.

If you like this video, if you would like to help this Polical Action Committee (PAC) to campaign and support those people who truly support our troops AND their mission, if you want to have your voices heard, please donate to the Veterans For Freedom PAC today. They will support anyone who fits these qualifications. That means democrat or republican. (I will start capitalizing the party names once they earn it.) They support active duty troops and they get their messages out to the public in a way no one seems capable of doing. I have donated. Won’t you, please? Thank you.

PS. Please use this digg. I have set it up so that it will go directly to their site. They will get the credit for this article, and I want it that way. Thank you.

PSS. They also support Veterans! 🙂

CORRECTION: He has been to Iraq before, but I do not know when. I do know it was not after he won his senate seat in 2006.

Bellavia4NY’s 26th Dist4Cong: Plus Heroes

Filed under: congress, otb, pols, Remember, Someone You Should Know, VfF, vote — Rosemary Welch @ 12:17 am

Calling all Vets For Freedom members and suporters: Go to his site and give! They are working on his website as I type, but let me tell you a little something about this Medal of Honor nominee while you donate what you can and support him in anyway you are able.

His website is www.Bellavia2008.com, and this is one man you would truly like to know.

Dear Vets for Freedom members:

David Bellavia, Vets for Freedom co-founder, member of our Board of Advisors, and now a candidate for Congress in New York’s 26th Congressional District, resigned from our Board of Advisors Monday due to his candidacy. David will continue to be a member of the organization

David Bellavia is a great American, who served this country courageously on the battlefield in Iraq, receiving the Silver Star and a nomination for the Medal of Honor. But his service didn’t stop there. Here at home, David co-founded Vets for Freedom, as well as a local organization in his hometown of Buffalo, New York for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Vets for Freedom wishes David luck in what will be a difficult battle for a contested seat, and we are grateful for the voice he continues to give veterans here at home and those serving abroad. Please make sure to visit www.Bellavia2008.com to find out more information.

Give ’em Hell David,

Pete Hegseth
Executive Director
Vets for Freedom.

This is wonderful news for Congress! Let’s get donating. Let’s show them we’re not all talk. If they put up a candidate we can vote for, we become very enthusiastic!

I just want to add one thing that is somewhat off this topic. I did my Wednesday Hero yesterday but over here at the Vets for Freedom Blog, they have another person is also deserving of our attention. The title of the post is, “Honoring Marine CPL Jason Dunham.” This was a remarkable man who truly loved his team and his country. This is a MUST READ post. Would you like a taste? Okay:

A few days ago, I posted the tribute to Medal of Honor recipient SFC Paul Ray Smith by LTG William B. Caldwell, IV. Much like my efforts with They Have Names, LTG Caldwell wants to make sure that these brave warriors are not forgotten. As I noted to some after my trip to DC, most of the anti-war people that I spoke with talked about the Abu Ghraib disaster. Many of them could even give you name of either Granger or England. I would often ask them if they knew who SFC Paul Ray Smith was. “Was he the squad leader?” No. Do you know who CPL Jason Dunham was. “No, but it sounds familiar.” It should. What about Lt. Michael Murphy? “No.” Well, the same day I was in Washington, Petty Officer Michael Monsoor was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.

LTG Caldwell has written another poignant oratory about Marine CPL Dunham, who died of his wounds four years ago yesterday. While the rest of America was concerned with who was more “bitter”, we remember the passing of a true American hero. What follows is a must read letter for all Americans! Due to ceremonies to commemerate the occasion and updates to ASP, we were forced to present this a day late. [Continue reading.]

I wonder how many people truly know that we are living in a country filled with giants? I’m so grateful to them for all they do, even if they never make the papers. They do make it possible for those who do make the papers to do their work. God bless each and every one of their families, friends, and them.

Update: Um. I. Did. Something. Stupid. What? I called them Freedom For Vets, instead of Vets For Freedom. D’oh! I have since corrected this matter, but I’ve trackbacked with it the wrong name. My sincerest apologies.

Thank you, General Petreaus

Filed under: Gratitude, Military, ota, otb, pols, sen — Rosemary Welch @ 8:31 pm

While many of the Democrat Senators could not right out say the things they usually do due to the progress General Petreaus has implemented and overseen, they still couldn’t keep their traps shut. Scarry Harry, Billary, and the whole lot of them had something to say AFTER the hearing. Well, you have an opportunity to speak up as well.

Sen. Mitch McConnell’s site has a thank-you card for the General. Let General Petraeus and the world know how much we appreciate the hard work he and all the men and women in uniform are doing. Thanks. Manchu.

I hope everyone who reads this will go to this site and sign this card for General Petreaus and our man and women in uniform. Thank you.

Stop the ACLU has the story about the press and it’s affirmative action abuses. JammieWearingFool has a great video of a Pastor who sees through Obama, and says so. Serendip helps celebrate the Iranian New Year (yesterday). Wolf Pangloss has written a post that cracked me up. I know it will do the same for you.

Faultline USA has written a compelling article which is also heartbreaking. Please read the whole thing, then call or e-mail the school which is inviting that racist pastor. Then we have Locomotive Breath 1901. He/she is new to me, but I found this on the Real Clear Politics blog where you can vote for your friends. Anyway, this person (MM) has written about the judgement made about that poor steak shop owner who was only trying to preserve his little corner of America as American. Great decision!

Stop the ACLU:

Jennifer Harper of the Washington Times reported on the 18th that “only 6 percent of the national press corps describe themselves as ‘conservative.’” Yet, of the general American population, 36 percent “generally consider themselves conservative.” [Continue reading.]

Introducing Pastor James David Manning.

JammieWearingFool’s video about Pastor James David Manning is linked here. Go give him some love. 😉

This is quite a difference and an indictment on Obama. It takes a little while, but it is worth the time.

Serendip:

Norooz, commemorating the New Year, has been celebrated in Iran, , throughout nearly three millennia of its recorded history. Norooz begins at the vernal equinox, the first day of spring season, a day of rejuvenation and reconciliation, forgivness of self and others, reinvigorations and rebirth. Norooz’s arrival is symbolized in nature by the sprouting of greens and grains, flowers and trees. [Continue reading.]

Wolf Pangloss:

Washington, DC, 19 March – In its first session since the Saint Patrick’s Day holiday, the House Democratic Caucus is expected to discuss a law that will condemn to death anyone who decides to leave the left wing of the Democratic Party and take up another viewpoint.

Under the proposed law, anyone who is born to Democrat parents, or who registers as Democrat for two elections in a row, and decides to convert to a more conservative political party will face the death penalty. [Continue reading.]

Brite Divinity School to Honor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

by Barbara W. Sowell

“If Brite does not rescind this invitation to Jeremiah Wright, I will be compelled by conscience to repudiate my Theology degree from Brite Divinity School.”

On the heels of Obama’s race speech yesterday I learned on national TV that Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas is still planning on presenting an award to Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the Black Church Awards Banquet for his 40-year ministry linking divine justice and social justice. Brite will host the fourth annual State of the Black Church Summit and Awards Banquet on March 29.

What is a ministry that links divine justice and social justice? Basically it’s short for Marxist born and bred Liberation Theology. Cutting out all the nuanced obfuscations of leftist Theological language and political correctness, Liberation Theology sees Jesus as the Divine Revolutionary leader intent on bringing social justice into this world. It’s a theology that calls for God’s Kingdom here on earth; not something to be attained in the hereafter. And if necessary, God’s Kingdom must be brought forth here and now on earth by any means necessary – even including violent revolution. I leave it to your imagination as to what country and which people must be dealt with! [Continue reading.]

Radio: Stop the ACLU and Pundit Review

Filed under: Bloggers, elections, pols, radio program, STACLU — Rosemary Welch @ 9:49 pm

Tonight, at 6pm Pacific Time, Jon Jay will be on the Political Vindication Radio. Tune it and get ready to learn. Also, my friends Kevin and Gregg of Pundit Review have a radio program on Sunday’s evenings from 7-10 pm EST. If you miss the program, they will have a podcast ready for you soon. They cover many topics, and they give bloggers are fair shot. They also have the last hour set apart for the “Someone You Should Know” segment. If you want an answer as to how our troops are doing individually, don’t miss it.

Tonight we’re talking with Jon Jay, the head instigator at Stop the ACLU.com! If your days are rosy and you can’t find anything to be angry about, then it’s time to go through the latest list of assaults by the atheistic brown shirts in service to the world-wide communist movement – the A.C.L.U. – the American Communist Leninist Union! Don’t just sit there – fight back!

In the second hour we’re going to talk about what Barack Obama and liberal racism have in common – and as a special bonus we’ll be starting a petition to make our vote for Obama a taxable write-off against impending reparations! Remember, if you’re ever in doubt, just ask yourself, “what would Uncle Jeremiah do?”

The chat room will open up 15 minutes before showtime, and we’re looking forward to hearing your opinion about the great week the Democratic party is having!

Now for the Pundit Review. Kevin has Someone You Should Know: Army Spc. Monica Lin Brown ready for your listening pleasure. That’s certainly enough to give you a taste of their quality program.

They also write a regular blog. It is pretty intelligent, but they also have fun. lol. You should go see what they did to Spitzer! LOL. These are truly great guys. I am able to disagree with them civilly without fear of losing our friendship. It must be awful to be a Democrat…

Today I am having an open post trackback, and you are welcome to trackback or ping an article you wish to share with others. The only rule I have is that there shall be no porn. Thanks, and have a great day.

A New Blog, A New Outreach

Filed under: Bloggers, conservatism, otb, pols, vote — Rosemary Welch @ 8:13 pm

Today the GOP is ready to have us start voting for the name of this new blog. It is run by Ryan James, and this is all about the GOP Convention. Unless you want to get stuck with a very bad name (and a Democrat in the WH), VOTE!

I have been watching watching the birth of this blog, and it is coming along well. Here are the names we shall be voting on until Thursday, March 13, 2008.

#1 The ‘Phant vs. #16 Conventional Wisdom

#9 The Elephant’s Mouth vs. #8 Grand Ol’ Blog

#5 Elephant Droppings vs. #12 Red Hot and No Blues

#13 Patriotism Live vs. #4 Elephants Heard

We did a pretty good job with these names, eh? lol. You may vote by clicking here. Thank you for your participation.

PS. Help spread the word. Post about this. Look, I understand the personal feelings about the GOP and John McCain, but there are many other people out the who truly are Conservatives. We do not want to let them down. At least I don’t. Think about it.

I am going to be having an open trackback today with this post. I am having it through Linkfest. This is a great group of people who all share their posts. Some I will post here (because they are already available), and some you will find at a later time. If you have a post you would like to share with us, please feel free to do so.

Remember, I am not responsible for, nor do I necessarily agree with, any posts that are trackbacked here. I will, however, fight for their right to do so. 😉
